About the Role
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct occupational therapy care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement and follow individualized treatment plans
- Document patient progress accurately
- Utilize therapy software
- Assist patients in achieving functional goals
- Ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork
- Maintain professional conduct to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
- NBCOT certification
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- Valid state license
- CPR certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Maintain confidentiality
- Adhere to facility policies
- Demonstrate professionalism
- Participate in community health projects
- Perform physical activities as needed
