About the Role

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct occupational therapy care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).

Responsibilities

  • Implement and follow individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
  • Chart patient progress accurately and timely.
  • Utilize therapy software effectively.
  • Assist in patient evacuation when needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to ensure quality care.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and demonstrate professionalism and integrity.
  • Participate in community health projects as appropriate.

Requirements

  • NBCOT certification and active state license required.
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program; new grads welcome.
  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Strong communication, reasoning, and judgment skills.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and walking.
