About the Role
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) providing direct occupational therapy care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Implementing and following individualized treatment plans
- Documenting patient progress accurately and timely
- Utilizing therapy software effectively
- Providing compassionate patient care to support functional improvements and quality of life
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
- Participating in community health projects as appropriate
- Assisting in patient evacuation when necessary
Requirements
- NBCOT certification (renewal optional later)
- Valid state licensure
- CPR certification
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferred but not required: 1+ year of experience; new grads welcome
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good communication skills
- Knowledge of post-acute care procedures, laws, and regulations
- Ability to make independent decisions, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism
