About the Role

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) providing direct occupational therapy care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and following individualized treatment plans
  • Documenting patient progress accurately and timely
  • Utilizing therapy software effectively
  • Providing compassionate patient care to support functional improvements and quality of life
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
  • Participating in community health projects as appropriate
  • Assisting in patient evacuation when necessary

Requirements

  • NBCOT certification (renewal optional later)
  • Valid state licensure
  • CPR certification
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program

Qualifications & Skills

  • Preferred but not required: 1+ year of experience; new grads welcome
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good communication skills
  • Knowledge of post-acute care procedures, laws, and regulations
  • Ability to make independent decisions, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism
