Occupational Therapist - Acute Care
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care in a high-pressure environment, providing clinical guidance to nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Manage staffing and resource allocation
- Conduct regular rounds and assessments of patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of MN
- At least 5 years of progressive nursing experience
- Experience in a supervisory capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer systems and software
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Leadership certification (e.g., ANCC Magnet Recognition)
- Experience in a critical care setting
