About the role
This position involves providing skilled occupational therapy services, including screening, testing, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities according to professional standards. It requires collaborating with care teams, educating patients, families, and caregivers, and developing individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality occupational therapy aligned with standards and develop patient-specific goals.
- Maintain thorough documentation, billing, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to optimize care outcomes.
- Supervise staff, assistants, and students to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in continuing education, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary meetings.
- Contribute to program development and marketing efforts to expand services.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid occupational therapy license in applicable states and BLS certification.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and compassionate care skills.
- Proficient in computer use and familiar with target patient populations.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and physical ability to assist with patient transfers and equipment handling.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read and communicate effectively.
- Ability to manipulate equipment and assist with patient mobility.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.
