Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech) - Obstetrics

Role Overview As an Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech), you will support nursing staff in delivering patient care within the obstetrics unit, focusing on patient safety and resource management. You will serve as a scrub technician during Cesarean sections and OB/GYN procedures, handle instrument sterilization, assist in room preparation, and respond promptly to patient and family needs. Your responsibilities include maintaining equipment, assisting with patient activities, documenting vital signs, and ensuring a sterile environment. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED; LPN license or completion of OR Technician Program required.Preferred experience in patient care and surgical procedures.Knowledge of aseptic techniques and OR equipment preferred.BLS certification required (can be obtained after hire).Effective communication skills and ability to react in emergencies.Basic math skills and proficiency with computer systems.
