About the Role

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a part-time Obstetrics and Gynecology Technologist. Under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, this position assists in nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area, including patient care for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation. Activities are based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice and performed within the scope of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area
• Provide patient care for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation
• Perform duties based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice

Requirements

• LPN diploma or Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology (required)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (required)
• 1 year of experience as an LPN or Surgical Technologist (required)
• Experience assisting with OB/GYN procedures (preferred)
