Role Overview

An Obstetrics Technician (OB Tech) supports patient care in the delivery unit, serving as a scrub technician during Cesarean Sections and OB/GYN procedures.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and restocking rooms
• Handling surgical instruments
• Assisting with patient positioning
• Maintaining equipment
• Responding to emergencies
• Documenting vital signs
• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Ensuring a safe environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid LPN license or completion of OR Technician Program
• BLS certification (post-hire)
• Preferred experience in patient care and scrub roles
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and OR procedures preferred
