Obiols Joins Continental

Continental Girbau Inc. recently welcomed Sergi Obiols as sales and product engineer, providing technical sales support for Girbau Industrial (GI) laundry equipment projects throughout North America.

About the role

This position focuses on improving turnaround time in laundry design layout by offering inside sales engineering support. The role involves all aspects of presale project support, including equipment sizing, estimated production rates, equipment layout, scale drawings, and monitoring target installation dates and project completion. Over time, the position will expand to support commercial laundry design projects for all Continental brands.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support for industrial laundry equipment projects
• Handle equipment sizing and estimated production rates
• Create equipment layout and scale drawings
• Monitor target installation dates and project completion
• Support presale project activities from concept through construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Politechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona
• Global industrial laundry experience working on large projects
• Background in industrial design within the laundry equipment sector
