OB Technician - PRN

About the role

Provides patient care support for OB patients under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. Performs clinical procedures, clerical tasks, and surgical assistance to ensure quality patient care and unit efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care, including ADL support for newborns, obstetric, postpartum, and pediatric patients.
• Supports operational tasks such as maintaining records, patient registration, bed control, specimen transport, and supply management.
• Works effectively during obstetrical emergencies and may be required to take call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior completion of an accredited surgical tech program is preferred but certification is not mandatory.
• Must hold an active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Strong understanding of English, safety performance, and teamwork are essential.
