Job Summary and Qualifications
The OB Scrub Tech performs specific non-licensed or non-professional duties of patient care under the supervision of the RN. He/she assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all and keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment.
What You Will Need in This Role
- Prepares operating rooms for surgery using appropriate techniques.
- Provides technical services and assists in operating room.
- Functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital and with surgical services’ standards of care.
- Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays.
Required Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Operating Room Scrub Technician Certification (CST) a plus or Completion of an Accredited Surgical Scrub Technician Program or experience working as a scrub tech.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum of one year of surgery experience preferred.
- Skilled in all surgical service lines: Gynecology, General, Robotics, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Urology, and ENT.
