OB Surg Tech - Labor & Delivery, PRN, Nights

Responsibilities

• Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Maintains the sterile field and is vigilant for its upkeep.
• Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program required, or 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist required, or 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.
