Job Summary
The OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist reports to the Operations Manager and provides radiologic services to patients under the direction of providers. Responsibilities include producing high-quality ultrasounds, assisting patients, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Produces high quality ultrasounds for interpretation and diagnosis
- Aids and educates patients during radiographic procedures
- Ensures completion of all forms vital to the revenue cycle
- Assists physicians with invasive procedures and documents accurately
- Maintains exam room supplies and workstation cleanliness
- Cleans and disinfects x-ray rooms and equipment
- Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisors
- Completes referral processes and outpatient test scheduling
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills And Knowledge
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to assist others
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics, and equipment
- Experience with intravaginal scanning, Doppler flow scanning, M-mode scanning, and various B-mode applications
- Knowledge of radiation protection and familiarity with HIS systems
Education
Minimum: Associate degree required. Must be trained in one of the following: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology, AMA approved school of Ultrasound Technology, or through an accredited nursing program. Certification through a Radiology Tech Program from an accredited hospital is required.
Years Of Experience
At least 1 year of clinical experience from an approved program.
Required Certifications
Must be certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS) in OB/GYN.
