Position Summary
Maintain a Women’s Health Imaging program within the Women’s Health Center.
Maintain quality initiatives to improve service of Ultrasound imaging in the Women’s Health Center.
Obtain and maintain AIMU certification.
Additional Duties
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by providers in the Women’s Health Center of Adirondack Health.
- Educate and instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment in appropriate operating condition.
- Maintain examination room and work area.
- Order and stock all ultrasound supplies.
- Affords assistance in the training of students and new employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and or GED
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program
- RDMS certification in OB/GYN Ultrasonography or willing to obtain
- 5 or more years of experience in OB/GYN specialized ultrasonography preferred
- Accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM)
Pay
$31.72 - $44.78 per hour
