OB/GYN - Physician Assistant
About the role
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in Central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Physician Assistant to join an expanding division serving OB/GYN patients in our growing network.
Join our growing team of 4 generalist physicians, 4 hospitalists, 8 certified midwives, 4 PAs, and 3 NPs in a hospital-employed, evidence-based practice. Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region in a collegial working environment with a group-employed model.
Women's Health and/or surgical experience is preferred but not required. The role includes a combination of outpatient GYN and surgical first assist in OB/GYN OR, with a 36-hour work week and 4 hours of administrative time per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient GYN care
- Serve as a surgical first assist in OB/GYN operating room
Requirements
- National Certification as a Physician Assistant
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification
- DEA Required
Pay
Salary Range: $117,000 - $131,686. This range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting, based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation.
Sign-on Bonus: up to $50,000
