O&M Field Technician 1

About the Role

Hanwha Convergence USA is a leading provider of O&M Services for Solar and Energy Storage Systems, leveraging industry-leading IT and engineering capabilities. The O&M Field Technician Tech 1 assists other site technicians in routine maintenance of inverters, transformers, combiner boxes, trackers, modules, and related systems. This role works closely with trained personnel to develop knowledge and skills in the solar industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair inverters, trackers, and other on-site systems.
• Perform routine testing and repair of DC electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment.
• Manage on-site inventory and equipment.
• Ensure site safety and security.
• Perform electrically safe testing procedures on all components before maintenance.
• Log and record all maintenance activities.
• Adhere to site safety requirements, including LOTO, PPE, and safe working practices.
• Perform additional solar site activities as needed.

Requirements

• Basic Microsoft Office software experience (e.g., Outlook, Excel).
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles and common hand tools.
• 1+ years of solar experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, etc.).
• Basic SCADA system monitoring and application experience.
• Medium and high electrical voltage experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work primarily in an outdoor environment.
• Lifting items greater than 35 pounds.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Ability to handle temperature extremes.
• Able to wear and safely utilize all required PPE.

Pay

$22–$25 per hour.
