Member Duties

VISTA PLACEMENT: Refugee Translation Project (RTP), https://refugeetranslation.org/. MISSION: Refugee Translation Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping refugees transition to a life of safety and security by providing free language services to people seeking asylum and other immigration relief, increasing access to vital resources, and creating employment opportunities for asylum seekers. VISTA ACTIVITIES: The NYIC VISTA, Fundraising and Communications, placed at Refugee Translation Project, will work on creating communications best practices and resources (e.g., around social media, promotion, website management) as well as fundraising projects (e.g., donor cultivation, grant applications, events, donor mailings) in support of the organization's direct services/programmatic work. SERVICE LOCATION: 367 St Marks Ave, Suite 49, Brooklyn, NY 11238. LIVING ALLOWANCE: $32,262
