About the role

Paul Hastings’ NY Structured Credit CLO team is seeking an Asset Based Lending Associate with 2-3 years of capital markets, lending, and/or asset-backed securities experience or any experience with CLOs/CLO warehouses.

The group represents underwriters, issuers, collateral managers and debt and equity investors in both broadly syndicated and middle-market collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and other structured products.

Responsibilities

  • Represent underwriters, issuers, collateral managers and debt and equity investors in both broadly syndicated and middle-market collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and other structured products.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand their needs and develop solutions.
  • Prepare and review legal documents related to asset-based lending transactions.
  • Assist in due diligence processes for new deals.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients throughout the lifecycle of asset-based lending transactions.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of capital markets, lending, and/or asset-backed securities experience or any experience with CLOs/CLO warehouses.
  • Strong academic background preferred.
  • Law firm experience with strong academics.
  • Admitted to the NY State Bar and in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience with asset-based lending and CLOs/CLO warehouses.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Benefits

Competitive salary range: $235,000 - $310,000 annually (based on experience).

Varies based on experience or other relevant factors.
