Nutritional Services - Supervisor (Hospital)

About the role

As a new addition to the supervisory team at Holy Cross Hospital, you will report to the Patient & Nutrition Services Manager and be responsible for monitoring various operational functions in the department. This includes supervising staff, managing staffing levels, maintaining quality control, meeting budget goals, handling purchasing and expenses, and providing overall assistance to the department as needed. You will also provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations to ensure effective direction and compliance with infection control, safe work procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Supervise the nutrition service patient call center and food service tray line processes.
• Address complaints, concerns, and corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain quality control and meet budgetary objectives.
• Oversee purchasing activities and monitor departmental expenses.
• Provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff.

Requirements

• 3–5 years supervisory experience in food service operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).
• Completion of a Sanitation Certification Course or ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent computer and customer service skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work well with others in service situations.
• Customer‑service call center experience preferred.

Schedule

12:30 pm – 9:00 pm, including alternating weekends.
