NUTRITIONAL SERVICES - PREP COOK AFTER HOURS

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Aid in preparing food for café/restaurant customers, patients, and special events.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper hand washing, temperature monitoring, and refrigeration.
  • Prepare food back stocks for the following day's orders.
  • Stock and date items for the Vision Cooler and ensure they are ready for the next day.
  • Prepare oatmeal and sausage gravy and ensure daily soups are prepared and ready to cook.
  • Check deliveries, store items appropriately, and maintain FIFO procedures.
  • Organize storerooms (freezers, fridges, dry storages) and clean them at least twice a week.
  • Maintain kitchen and café facilities' cleanliness.
  • Clean equipment weekly and document waste on the waste log.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain Food Handlers’ Permits.
  • Attend meetings and complete required training.
  • Communicate regularly via email and participate in short Huddles.
  • Support Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Food Handler’s Permit obtained within 30 days of employment.
