Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing food for café/restaurant customers, patients, and special events.
- Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper hand washing, temperature monitoring, and refrigeration.
- Prepare food back stocks for the following day's orders.
- Stock and date items for the Vision Cooler and ensure they are ready for the next day.
- Prepare oatmeal and sausage gravy and ensure daily soups are prepared and ready to cook.
- Check deliveries, store items appropriately, and maintain FIFO procedures.
- Organize storerooms (freezers, fridges, dry storages) and clean them at least twice a week.
- Maintain kitchen and café facilities' cleanliness.
- Clean equipment weekly and document waste on the waste log.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain Food Handlers’ Permits.
- Attend meetings and complete required training.
- Communicate regularly via email and participate in short Huddles.
- Support Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required: Food Handler’s Permit obtained within 30 days of employment.
