SUMMARY
This position is responsible for conducting home and phone visits for Meals on Wheels assessments, answering Nutrition Department phones, inputting assessment data into KAMIS program, covering meal routes and congregate sites, and assisting with department office duties. The position also involves scheduling and assessing new and existing clients for Nutrition program eligibility as well as eligibility for other Council on Aging programs. Additional responsibilities include delivering a Meals on Wheels route when needed, supporting the Farmers Market Voucher program during the summer months, and performing other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedules and conducts home and phone visits for Meals on Wheels assessments
- Answers Nutrition Department phones and records cancellations
- Inputs assessment data into KAMIS program
- Covers meal routes and congregate sites as needed
- Assists with department office duties
- Delivers a Meals on Wheels route when needed
- Supports annual Farmers Market Voucher program during the summer months
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Federal & State regulations for the congregate and Meals on Wheels programs
- Ability to pass the test required for completing the Uniform Assessment Instrument
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and data entry
- Attention to detail and strong editing skills
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, officials and clients
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, other agencies and/or departments, supervisors, and co-workers
- Possesses strong interpersonal and interview skills
