About the role
Manages plans and evaluates the provision of nutrition services of specific nutrition programs such as the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Provides medical nutrition therapy and counseling services for clients in public health clinics. Recommends nutritional care plans and documents plan and progress in the medical records; interprets current research regarding dietary treatment and provides technical assistance and consultation for other health care professionals. Supervises professional and support staff.

Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university, verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics AND four (4) years of job-related experience providing nutrition care to groups and individuals; OR Two (2) years of experience at the lower level Dietitian/Nutritionist 3 (HCP022) or equivalent position.
- Preferred: Public Health/WIC experience.
- Ability to speak Spanish and English preferred but not required.
- One year of supervisory experience.
