Nutrition Assistant I
About the Role
As a Nutrition Assistant, you will assist in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient food services to patients and staff. You will prepare and deliver meal trays, assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety compliance, and interact with patients regarding dietary needs. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong food safety knowledge, and excellent customer service to contribute to a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Follow healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures, including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes.
- Avoid cross-contamination of foods and adhere to personal hygiene requirements.
- Maintain proper labeling of food products and ensure storage of food, equipment, and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines.
- Prepare and serve food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of recipe ingredients to respond to food allergy questions or requests.
- Follow organizational standards and guidelines for a high-quality patient and customer experience.
- Ensure proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
Requirements
- One (1) year of Food Service or Customer Service Experience.
- Food Handler Permit: WA, within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED in General Studies (preferred).
- Cashier experience (preferred).

Pay
$21.84 - $31.14 per hour.
