Nut Former / Nut Forming Machine Operator

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Nut Former with hands-on experience in nut forming operations. The ideal candidate will have direct experience forming nuts and similar forged components, preferably using National 4-5 station nut forming machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up National 4-5 station nut forming machines.
• Perform nut forming operations to produce precision forged components.
• Work with materials commonly used in the forging of aerospace-grade components, including Waspalloy and A286.
• Monitor machine operations and ensure parts are produced according to required specifications.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain consistent production and part quality.
• Inspect formed parts for dimensional accuracy and overall quality.
• Follow established production, safety, and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Direct nut forming experience is required.
• Experience specifically with nut formers, rather than only cold heading, is essential.
• Hands-on experience operating or setting up National 4-5 station machines is highly preferred.
• Experience working with Waspalloy and A286 or similar high-strength materials is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of nut forming and multi-station forging processes.

Important Note: Candidates whose experience is limited to cold heading without actual nut forming experience will not be considered.
