About the Role
This full-time nursing leadership role reports to the Nursing Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining professional licensure and adherence to all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Assessing staffing needs based on patient acuity and ensuring safe, competent care.
- Supporting staff performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development through orientation and education programs.
- Participating in hiring, scheduling, quality improvement projects, and budget management.
- Developing multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate support to patients and families.
- Executing nursing interventions, delegating tasks appropriately, and documenting care accurately.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, emergency procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Engaging in committee activities, performance improvement, and organizational initiatives.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities such as initiative, conflict resolution, and fostering positive morale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- At least three years of recent acute care experience with ICU or supervisory background
- Current California RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (required); CCRN (preferred)
- Knowledge of age-specific care, safety protocols, and effective communication
