About the Role

This full-time nursing leadership role reports to the Nursing Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining professional licensure and adherence to all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Assessing staffing needs based on patient acuity and ensuring safe, competent care.
  • Supporting staff performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development through orientation and education programs.
  • Participating in hiring, scheduling, quality improvement projects, and budget management.
  • Developing multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate support to patients and families.
  • Executing nursing interventions, delegating tasks appropriately, and documenting care accurately.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, emergency procedures, and confidentiality standards.
  • Engaging in committee activities, performance improvement, and organizational initiatives.
  • Demonstrating leadership qualities such as initiative, conflict resolution, and fostering positive morale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (preferred)
  • At least three years of recent acute care experience with ICU or supervisory background
  • Current California RN license
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (required); CCRN (preferred)
  • Knowledge of age-specific care, safety protocols, and effective communication
