About the role
The Clinical Supervisor ensures the safe and effective operation of their department, overseeing patient care, staffing, fiscal management, and strategic objectives. They lead, supervise, and evaluate staff to promote high-quality, safe patient care while fostering a secure environment for patients, families, and staff. The role involves maintaining clinical competency tailored to the patient population's needs, supporting staff development through ongoing education, and facilitating quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Delegate shift responsibilities and monitor unit performance through quality metrics.
- Respond confidently to crises and ensure operational continuity.
- Oversee patient care, staffing, and fiscal management to meet departmental goals.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Support staff development through education and training initiatives.
- Facilitate quality improvement efforts within the department.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Valid Multi-State RN License.
- Certifications: BLS CPR and CPI.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in acute care (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Strong communication, organizational, and delegation skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
