Nursing Supervisor - Kirkwood

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct support to nursing staff and Behavioral Health Assistants (BHAs)
• Manage admissions/discharges
• Monitor detox protocols (COWS/CIWA)
• Ensure program remains compliant with all company policies
• Aid/train nursing staff, as needed, in fulfilling nursing responsibilities
• Support interdisciplinary treatment teams
• Aid with staffing (training, scheduling, conflict resolution)
• Conduct chart and medication audits regularly
• Avoid non-compliance with DEA and SAMHSA regulations regarding medication practices
• Participate in policy/procedure reviews and revisions under Director’s approval and supervision
• Provide in-service training to nursing staff
• Attend leadership meetings regarding the program
• Fill in vacant nursing shifts when necessary

Qualifications

• Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse, NP OR multi-state compact license
• 2-5 years of nursing experience in behavioral health, detox, and/or addiction treatment
• Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication administration, crisis intervention, and patient care coordination
• Ability to supervise staff, manage schedules, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
• Experience with EMR/HER systems and nursing documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level
• Experience with an electronic health record preferred
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve
• Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and able to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate fashion in a fast-paced environment
