ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct support to nursing staff and Behavioral Health Assistants (BHAs)
- Manage admissions/discharges
- Monitor detox protocols (COWS/CIWA)
- Ensure program remains compliant with all company policies
- Aid/train nursing staff, as needed, in fulfilling nursing responsibilities
- Support interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Aid with staffing (training, scheduling, conflict resolution)
- Conduct chart and medication audits regularly
- Avoid non-compliance with DEA and SAMHSA regulations regarding medication practices
- Participate in policy/procedure reviews and revisions under Director’s approval and supervision
- Provide in-service training to nursing staff
- Attend leadership meetings regarding the program
- Fill in vacant nursing shifts when necessary
Qualifications
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse, NP OR multi-state compact license
- 2-5 years of nursing experience in behavioral health, detox, and/or addiction treatment
- Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration, crisis intervention, and patient care coordination
- Ability to supervise staff, manage schedules, complete documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience with EMR/HER systems and nursing documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level
- Experience with an electronic health record preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Advanced oral and written communication skills to effectively problem-solve
- Must be a team player, patient, flexible, and able to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate fashion in a fast-paced environment
