Nursing Station Technician - Neuroscience - 12hr Shifts
About the role
Fairview is seeking a Nursing Station Technician at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This position is a .75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks) working 12-hour evening shifts, and every third weekend. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assists professional caregiver in delivering patient care
- Transports patient and / or equipment
- Sets up and maintains patient rooms
- Reorders and stocks supplies
- Coordinates communication on patient care unit
- Answers telephone, clarifies information, and relays messages
- Provides customer service by interacting with healthcare team, patients, and public
- Schedules tests, lab work, and other patient procedures
- Uses EHR and transcribes physician’s orders
- Performs basic patient care duties
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification
- Completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent
- Current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program with completed clinical rotation
- Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification upon hire
Qualifications
- At least one year of recent direct care experience in a long-term, home care, or acute care setting

- Medical terminology and abbreviations
- EHR proficiency

- Basic patient care skills

Pay
The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
Schedule
12-hour evening shifts, every third weekend.
