Nursing Station Technician - Med/Surg - NST

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care.
• Perform receptionist duties at the nursing station.
• Maintain patient care areas.

The skills and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) align closely with those of a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT), making this a great opportunity for those with CNA experience.

Requirements

• 18 years of age.
• Ability to function independently and maturely.
• Ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
• Ability to assemble, maintain, and record data accurately.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the ill.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not currently certified, Basic Life Support certification will be included as part of the orientation program.
• May be required to work weekends or overtime.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• 1-2 years experience working in a health care setting as a HUC, NA, or NST or equivalent experience.
• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree.
• Successful completion of a health unit coordinator program.

Pay

$22.12 - $31.21/hour
