Job Summary

Up to $10,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months. Full Time Days

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a clinical resource and role model/mentor in the delivery of patient care.
  • Promotes the development of clinical and leadership skills of the assistant nurse managers and clinical personnel.
  • Participates in the performance Improvement process to improve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of resource consumption.
  • Maintains knowledge base related to customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides in-services and staff development programs for patient care services staff.
  • Assumes responsibility for coordination of new employee orientation and provides unit specific orientation.
  • Represents the Unit Director and specific unit during committee participation as assigned.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies & procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements for all position within span of control.
  • Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, related field or equivalent competencies/job experience. Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing, Education, Management or related field, or demonstrated equivalent competencies preferred.
  • Experience: Two years experience in clinical related specialty; one year supervisory or management experience, working knowledge of Quality Improvement process and Joint Commission standards.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registrations: Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. American Heart Association BLS Certification required. ACLS certification required for Critical Care Clinical Manger.
  • Other Qualifications: Managerial experience - able to relate to a large variety of individuals. National certification in area of specialty is strongly preferred.
