About the Role

This leadership position supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) by overseeing nursing and patient care functions within the hospital. The role involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices at the unit level, with 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas. It ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, maintains clinical staff competency, and manages resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff and patient care services.
• Assist in operational planning, assessment, and evaluation of nursing practice.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support staff development, competency, and resource management.

Requirements

• Active and current registered nurse license.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or commitment to obtain within 2 years); advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience in a hospital setting and 2 years in a Special Care Nursery.
