Nursing Manager (RN) - Obstetrics

About the Role

This leadership position provides support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) by overseeing nursing and patient care services within the hospital. The role emphasizes leadership, clinical excellence, staff competency, and resource management to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices at the unit level.
• Assume 24/7 responsibility for designated areas.
• Support the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
• Ensure clinical staff competency and optimal resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

• Active, current registered nurse license in the practice state.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or commitment to obtain within 2 years; master's preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience in a hospital setting and 2 years of Special Care Nursery experience.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Hospital operational knowledge and ability to serve as a professional role model and advocate for nursing.
• Must complete a background check and health screening, including a drug test.
