Nursing Manager (RN) - Obstetrics

About the Role

Provides leadership and support to the senior executive (CNO) overseeing nursing and patient care services within the hospital. Responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices at the unit level, with 24/7 accountability for designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
• Ensure clinical staff competency and effective resource management.
• Assist in operational management and staff development.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in the practicing state.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience in a hospital setting, including Special Care Nursery.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and hospital operational skills.
• Educational requirement: nursing degree; Bachelor’s degree required or commitment to obtain within 2 years. Advanced degrees preferred.
