Nursing House Supervisor

Summary

Provides leadership for all nursing units and clinical support areas during assigned shift. Monitors and evaluates performance of agency and temporary staff, especially nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff.
• Responds to staff requests for managerial assistance.
• Notifies MOC/AOC as necessary.
• Determines, coordinates, and monitors the flow of patients between units to maximize patient safety and experience and the use of the organization's resources.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
• Captures patient care services with staff, physicians, and other departments.
• Responds to complaints/conflicts and manages through established channels.
• Makes administrative decisions in conjunction with the MOC/AOC.

Requirements

• ADN, BSN required for hires/transfers after 1/1/15.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS required for North Region within 3 months of hire.
• Other relevant certification as determined at position level.
• 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
• BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

$42.90 - $66.50 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
