Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned nursing courses across classroom, online, clinical, lab, and simulation environments using engaging, evidence-based, and technology-enabled methods.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and implement approved course content and teaching materials.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback and remediation as needed.
  • Lead or support clinical, lab, and simulation experiences, connecting theory to practice and promoting safe, ethical, and professional nursing practice.
  • Support student and new faculty success through guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Engage in scholarship related to teaching and nursing practice by researching, applying, and sharing new knowledge.
  • Maintain subject-matter expertise and teaching effectiveness through ongoing professional development.
  • Apply and uphold academic and student-related policies, including exams, attendance, and grading standards, staying current with updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a field appropriate to the teaching discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a field related to the teaching discipline.
  • Active, unencumbered licensure or certification required to practice professionally in the discipline, as applicable to assignment.
  • Education and experience that aligns with state, regulatory, and licensure requirements for assigned courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach assigned courses based on education, experience, and professional preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a field appropriate to the teaching discipline.

Pay and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. The position qualifies for the below benefits:
