About the role
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for full-time, tenure-stream faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level. This tenure-stream faculty position will be responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service.
Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor students in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical setting.
- Contribute to course and curriculum development, revision, and delivery utilizing best evidence in content and delivery.
- Support student learning, professional development, and readiness for practice.
- Engage in scholarship, including, but not limited to, providing consultation to clinical institutions and/or research studies, conducting educational and/or clinical projects, serving as a reviewer for professional journals, and dissemination through publications and presentations.
- Participate in service activities that support the school, university, profession, and community.
Qualifications
- For Assistant Professor: Earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the research foci within the School of Nursing; evidence of or potential for a sustained and impactful program of research; evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring, and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity.
- For Associate Professor: Earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the research foci within the School of Nursing; evidence of a sustained and impactful program of research that is nationally recognized; evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity; evidence of or potential for leadership in the field.
- For Professor: Earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the research foci within the School of Nursing; evidence of a sustained and impactful program of research that is internationally recognized; evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity; evidence of leadership in the field.
Salary and academic rank
Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
