Nursing Faculty - Adjunct

About the role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors who have a desire and passion for teaching and will take both pride and ownership in the success of their students. This position provides clinical instruction in the Fundamentals of Nursing for the Practical Nursing (PN) program.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
• Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.

Schedule

Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Position starts October 5th.

Qualifications

• MSN required.
• Valid State RN License required.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

• Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.
