About the role
Teaches students effectively in assigned classes and maintains office hours for student consultation.
Responsibilities
- Provides students with a written course syllabus.
- Participates in the evaluation of the instructional process and uses innovative strategies to continually improve learning.
- Participates in development and support of their discipline by recommending books and materials, revising curricula, and recommending teaching assignments when appropriate.
- Maintains accurate and complete course records.
- Performs professional activities and assumes professional responsibilities as agreed upon with the division dean.
- Assists in achieving shared goals and visions within the division.
- Incorporates diverse learning styles into instruction.
- Advises students and registers them.
- Utilizes technology to facilitate learning and access data.
- Maintains compliance with Dallas College policies and procedures.
- Serves on and attends college committees as assigned.
- Attends campus commencement exercises and other required meetings and activities.
- Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours annually.
- Supports the college in various marketing activities.
- Promotes the college in the community.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- At least 18 graduate hours in Nursing.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or eligibility to obtain one prior to employment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Teaching experience in a postsecondary or clinical setting preferred.
- Experience with online instruction, curriculum development, and student-centered teaching preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
Qualifications

Schedule
All positions are considered on-site roles. After six months of employment, employees may have the opportunity to apply for a hybrid work schedule.
