Nursing Faculty - Adjunct

About the role

Jersey College is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor - Fundamentals to teach at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites. The successful candidate will provide clinical instruction, foster student growth, and evaluate student competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at various healthcare settings
• Create a supportive learning environment for students
• Prepare and submit student progress and grade reports
• Maintain accurate attendance records
• Evaluate student performance based on program goals
• Implement assessment tools to measure student learning and clinical experience
• Attend faculty meetings
• Maintain professional qualifications through ongoing education and training

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 3 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required

Skills & Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage workflow effectively
• Supervisory skills in the clinical setting
• Effective teaching ability suitable for RN or PN students
• Knowledgeable in nursing specialties relevant to the program
• Experience in nursing that contributes to student learning
