Nursing Education Specialist - Nursing Education- Full Time - Days

People

• Works as an expert resource and consultant to management and staff on nursing, education, and professional practice.
• Works collaboratively and provides leadership to nurses and multidisciplinary teams to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery systems.

Quality and Safety

• Performs project management work of a complex nature to improve practice and quality of care.
• Develops and refines project objectives and work plans.
• Guides activities of project teams.
• Facilitates and/or leads meetings and teams.
• Provides periodic updates to administration.
• Prepares reports and coordinates/provides written and verbal presentations.
• Designs and implements program evaluation methods to elicit results useful in development of new programs or revisions of current programs.
• Analyses data for future comparisons and improvements.

Education/Experience

• Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum five years clinical experience and two years of teaching experience in a university or college and/or hospital/health care institution.
• Competence in curriculum or program design, development, and evaluation.
• Effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire commitment and energize people to achieve mutual goals.
• Self-directed and capable of working independently.
• Broad knowledge of health care systems, trends, and the care continuum.
