Job Description

The Nursing Clinical Coordinator at Northwestern Medicine plays a crucial role in supporting the nursing team and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position offers administrative support, patient care coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership support to the nurse manager for unit daily management and program management.
• Maintains unit safe staffing levels through just-in-time recruitment.
• Aids in interviewing for nursing department positions in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Assists in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
• Supports performance improvement activities for assigned staff.
• Ensures staff adherence to regulatory standards and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with educators and managers to ensure appropriate orientation of new staff.
• Conducts staff huddles on shift and participates in unit and PCS-based teams, work groups, and committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• CRRN required within 6 months of hire date or eligibility.
• Maintains current AHA BLS Provider certification.
• Experience in progressive nursing roles preferred.
