About the role

The Student Nursing Assistant is a student currently enrolled in a Providence Nursing Assistant Training program. Functions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Designee and within the scope of practice that the supervising manager or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Student Nursing Assistant.

While enrolled in the NAC Training Program, the Student Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure that the assigned patient(s) remain safe. This may include close, continuous observation to maintain patient safety, comfort, and a safe patient care environment. Basic patient care tasks may be delegated by the Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Delegate. The Student Nursing Assistant will document all patient observation and care activities. Also performs non-direct patient care duties as assigned.

Duration for this position: 3 months

• Document all patient observation and care activities.
• Perform non-direct patient care duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Providence Nursing Assistant Training program.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (required within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Complete at least two months of successful employment and be in good standing to be accepted into the NAC Training Program (preferred).

Pay

Flat Pay Rate: $17.25/hr

The amounts listed are the base pay range: $17.25 - $24.00. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
