About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing over 100 years of housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will serve as a caregiver in long-term care, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
- Monitor and record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and support psychosocial needs.
- Assist with meals, create positive dining experiences, and provide hydration and nutritional supplements.
- Support healthcare procedures, document resident interactions, and communicate changes to nursing staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization through housekeeping and laundry services.
- Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities, and support departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process, with annual competency testing and continuing education.
- Prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred.
- Ability to follow infection control protocols, communicate effectively, and perform physical tasks including transfers and exercises.
- May require valid driver’s license and medical clearance if driving responsibilities are applicable.
