Nursing Assistant - Part-time

About the role

Join a dedicated not-for-profit organization providing over a century of housing and services to seniors in a compassionate, Christian environment. The Nursing Assistant (NA) delivers resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities and personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, transfers, mobility)
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions and health status
• Communicate changes in resident conditions to nursing staff
• Support infection control and safety protocols
• Contribute to a positive dining and living environment
• Provide psychosocial support and encourage participation in activities
• Aid with meals, housekeeping, laundry, and wellness/recreational activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16
• Current CNA certification or enrollment in a certification program
• Ability to complete annual competency testing and continuing education
• Prior experience in long-term care optional
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform essential driving functions (if applicable)
• Maintain required certifications
• Pass background and drug screenings
• Adhere to organizational policies
