Summary Of Duties
Supports nursing services by assisting with medication administration and monitoring resident health needs. Promotes resident wellness by following established medical protocols under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medication Aide (or eligible per South Dakota regulations).
- Experience working with children or youth in a residential or healthcare setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to follow medical protocols and directions from licensed nursing staff.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid South Dakota driver's license.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, agency policies, and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely medication administration records and related documentation.
- Absorb and distribute information about upcoming medical appointments as directed.
- Support management of medical supplies, ensuring proper storage, security, and inventory.
- Collaborate with staff to support resident health needs and follow all safety and infection control procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
