Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of a High School Graduate or equivalent, and a graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant or intermediate or higher level Emergency Medical Technician program. Preferred education includes satisfactory completion of a nurse aide course, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assisting. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required, and current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, or EKG Tech is necessary.
Requirements
- 2 years of clinical experience (Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Skilled Nursing Unit)
- Current Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, or EKG Tech certification
- BLS certification obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position
