About the role
Responsible for providing direct care to patients and serving the needs of patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (possibly with guidance from an LPN).
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care
- Assisting with nutritional needs
- Providing comfort care and other assistance
- Appropriately and safely transferring patients
- Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
- Negotating and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process
Requirements
- Works within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Qualifications
- Education Qualifications: This position requires the ability to work the following schedule: 24 hours per week, Day Shift (6am-2:30pm), Every other weekend, and participation in a holiday rotation.
- Hiring Incentive Eligible Position: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $1500.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications
- Licensure/Certification Qualifications: BLS certification required within 3 months of hire, Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program OR current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.
