Nursing Assistant - NA - Days/Evenings - Advanced Acute Care Trauma Unit (No CNA Cert Required)

Job Summary

Geisinger offers a Nursing Assistant a $1500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, along with a $16.25 minimum hiring rate and up to $3 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Additionally, there is up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

Job Duties

• Demonstrates strong ability to meet both orientation and long-term full-time scheduling requirements.
• Show reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance.
• Responds and communicates effectively, fostering collaboration and support across the care team.
• Performs a wide range of direct patient care activities and clerical duties, efficiently and timely.
• Maintains the integrity of specimens and reports changes in patient condition promptly.
• Provides patient care within the nursing assistant scope of practice, fulfilling the multidisciplinary care plan.
• Identifies, observes, and documents patient needs according to established standards.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient safety watch as assigned.
• Processes and transports specimens, coordinates transportation of patients, and schedules tests.
• Communicates with food services and operates, troubleshoots, and maintains clerical equipment.
• Transports non-controlled medications and participates in MyHealth Rewards wellness program.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of related work experience, and certification as a Nursing Assistant.

Position Details

• Full Time, Days/Evenings Position (36 Hours/weekly)
• 3 - 12 hour shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
