About the role
Join our organization as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
- Recording vital signs, collecting non-invasive specimens, and monitoring changing resident conditions.
- Supporting psychosocial needs and encouraging participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Providing meals, hydration, and personal care, while ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Documenting interactions, communicating observations to nursing staff, and assisting with routine procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness through housekeeping and laundry services.
- Adhering to infection control policies and PPE protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16.
- Current CNA certification or enrollment in certification training within four months.
- Completion of annual competency testing and continuing education (at least 12 hours/year).
- Knowledge of age-appropriate care, infection control, and resident safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Dependent on role, may require valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving duties.
- Participation in departmental committees and adherence to organizational policies.
