About the role
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Nursing Assistant, providing compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and other health indicators
- Supporting psychosocial well-being and encouraging participation in wellness and recreational activities
- Transferring, repositioning, and providing range of motion exercises using proper techniques and equipment
- Assisting with food preparation, feeding, and creating positive dining experiences
- Documenting resident interactions, health changes, and care outcomes
- Supporting infection prevention, housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment
- Collaborating with nursing staff and participating in departmental activities and committees
Key Duties
- Delivering personalized nursing and personal care to residents
- Supporting residents' physical and emotional needs
- Assisting with health monitoring and documentation
- Promoting a safe, hygienic, and positive environment
- Participating in team efforts and organizational initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in progress within four months
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred
- Ability to follow infection control policies and proper transfer techniques
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and continuing education
